Art in Action strives to provide equal access to quality arts education because every child deserves art.  Our vision is that art is an integral part of every student’s education, empowering the next generation to express unique ideas, expand cultural understanding, and develop the creative confidence to address the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century. 

Art in Action ignites students’ thinking and creativity by providing engaging visual arts programs through which they learn art history, appreciation, and skills. Art engages students in their learning, stimulates intellectual achievement, improves school attendance, and broadens cultural awareness. Education is often focused on convergent thinking, yet studies show that critical and creative thinking have the highest impact on student performance. Modern technology requires visual communication. In the Art in Action Program students master concepts through interpretive discussions and hands-on application, building skills of analysis, problem solving, evaluation, and communication.
